Balrog Revealed In Latest Street Fighter 5 Trailer
-----------A brand new trailer has been released for Street Fighter V, hyping up the addition of Balrog, who gets to join the game's roster in a couple of days.
The plans from Capcom to flesh out Street Fighter V through downloadable content might not be going completely according to plan, but the arrangement in place ensures that engrossed players receive constant updates. The studio has now released a trailer that promotes the next character to join the fray.
Balrog as a veteran of the Street Fighter series, is being introduced first as a boss character in Street Fighter II. Now decorated with a robe over his traditional boxing attire, he wasn't looking as much of a contender in previous games as he does in his most recent appearance.
Sure, the Balrog version in the Western version of the game shouldn't be confused with the character given the name in Japan. The boxer character in that version is given the name M. Bison, as a reference to Mike Tyson, but because of the concern over legal ramifications of this motion caused couple of fighters to be renamed when Street Fighter II was released internationally.
However, despite the fact that his name was changed in the last minute, Balrog went on to become one of the most traditional members of the Street Fighter roster. Although he focuses his boxing offense squarely on punches, his fighting style makes an interesting contrast to the martial arts practiced by different fighters in the game.
Having said that, it's interesting to see that Balrog has been chosen to be included ahead instead of some other very popular characters. Regarding the classic Street Fighter II cast, it's strange that characters like Blanka, E. Honda, and Sagat are all still waiting to be added to Street Fighter V.
Street Fighter V is now available for PlayStation 4 and PC.
