Beyond Good and Evil 2 Teaser Image Surfaced

The creator of the series, Michael Ancel posted a teaser image for Beyond Good and Evil 2, hinting at extra details about Jade's parents and their friendship with her adoptive uncle, Pey'j.

As fans continue to worry about the game, Ancel has teased Beyond Good and Evil 2 once more in a post on Instagram. It appears that the image features a much younger version of Pey'j, the pig who is Jade's adoptive uncle, on the back of a man that many are speculating is Jade's father.

It is said that Pey'j is a close friend of Jade's parents so, judging by the lore, the photo makes sense. The caption also references "System 4," the solar system that the first game is set in.

Of course, many fans have started to speculate that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is going to be a prequel instead of a sequel, or at the very least, it will go much deeper into Jade's past and her heritage than the original game did. The parents of Jade are not named in the original and the story surrounding what happened to them (and how and why Jade ended up in Pey'j's care) are unknown and fans would likely want some answers.

Although the teaser image isn't revealing any concrete information, it seems like a proper reveal of Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in the pipeline. Not only the image of Ancel was linked to by the official Twitter account of Ubisoft France (the account told fans to follow Ancel's account "closely") few days ago, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot discussed the game in an interview with Gamespot, telling that "we have to come back with something crazy and something that will be great," noting that fans "don't just want Beyond Good & Evil 2, you want a fantastic Beyond Good & Evil."

Furthermore, with the title being one of the largest games fans missed at E3 2016 and with the release date of Beyond Good and Evil 2 reportedly planned for 2017, now would be a great time for Ubisoft to reassure fans that everything is good and give itself as much time as it needs to get everyone even more excited before its release.
