BioShock: The Collection Officially Announced

-----------
.....

2K Games has finally revealed the BioShock Collection after months of rumors and leaks, and has confirmed that it's scheduled to release in September with a $60 price tag for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Bioshock was one of the original games that was standing out from the last console generation and helped push the limits of video game storytelling, style, and expectations.

The second-year effort of the franchise didn't go without flaws, but still turned out to be an interesting new chapter in the story of Rapture. With Infinite's arrival at the end of the last console generation, it literally helped the BioShock franchise to reach new heights. Fans on current gen hardware will be able to revisit all three chapters this fall.

BioShock Collection rumors have been spreading around for months and it looks like new leaks hit the web every few weeks. 2K has decided to finally reveal and officially confirm that the BioShock Collection is making its way to PC, PS4, and Xbox one on September 13 for $60.

All three games will be included in the collection and every piece of DLC released for each, without any multiplayer content. PC gamers won't receive the BioShock Infinite remaster, but apart from that all of the games will be with updated graphics that will take advantage of the current console generation's power.

The remastered collections trend has so far been received with mixed opinions. There were cases like The Master Chief collection that got slammed on release with poor online reviews, while others, like The Last of Us Remastered and GTA5, were being praised for taking the best experiences on 360 and PS3 and carefully transitioning them to the new gen. Similar have suffered along the way, like Batman Arkham Collection, so let's hope that the BioShock Collection will be able to avoid those issues and release without any problems.

BioShock Collection arrives September 13 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
