BioShock: The Collection will run at 60 FPS, 1080p
-----------The developers behind BioShock: The Collection confirmed that the remasters will run at 1080p, 60 FPS.
BioShock: The Collection received an official release date and trailer and now most of the fans are wondering how the graphics in the trilogy will look like. While speaking to GameSpot, a 2K Games representative has confirmed that all the remastered titles in BioShock: The Collection will be operating rather smoothly. It will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second all across the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
Those fans who already own BioShock, BioShock 2 and/or the Minerva's Den DLC on steam will get a completely free upgrade tot he remastered version of BioShock and BioShock 2 on PC. BioShock Infinite will not be featured in this deal, as this installment of the game will only be upgraded for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The PC port for BioShock: The Collection will contain Infinite, but instead of providing players with refined visuals, it's going to remain untouched and released as the regular version. The news about each platform receiving all of the game's DLCs for free should soften the decision about BioShock Infinite.
BioShock: The Collection will be published by 2K Games, but the development part is being done by Blind Squirrel Games. This studio has a pedigree worthy of working on this project, as in the past, they worked together with the series' creators at Irrational Games on the development of the original release of BioShock: Infinite.
The decision to release BioShock: The Collection is a good sign that the studio adapts to what fans want, other than this, it is a smart business move on the part of 2K Games as it will have a lucrative launch. Any fan who hasn't played Columbia or Rapture will be in for a treat as these wildly imaginative titles are considered top games of the last generation by many gamers.
BioShock: The Collection will release in North America on September 13th, Australia on september 15th and internationally on September 16th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
