Bungie on Destiny's Finished Beta
-----------Destiny's beta has concluded, the studio says it was a "Tremendous Success."
The beta for Bungie's upcoming shooter destiny has ended, the studio wrote on Facebook and Twitter saying that it learned many lessons about the game.
"The Destiny beta was a tremendous success from where we sat overlooking the Tower," Bungie said on Facebook. "If you played, Bungie thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. We learned so much about our game, and how we can make it better."
"Bungie thanks you for playing," the studio added on Twitter. "We made some great discoveries of our own, and we'll use them to make Destiny a great game for all."
So far it is unknown how many people participated in the Destiny beta, but Bungie community manager Eric Osborne wrote on Twitter that he was "gobsmacked by the numbers."
Bungie continued on to tease that the game's release in September is only the first step in a long journey for the game. "Your next adventure begins on September 9th when we launch Destiny. Once we do that, we intend to keep it in orbit for a very long time," Bungie wrote. "See you starside."
Destiny will be released for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 on September 8.
