Call of Duty: Black Ops III Received New DLC Eclipse
-----------With the upcoming E3 2016 happening next month, gaming fans are already looking out for new releases coming from their favorite developers. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 followers are already anxious for the release of what could be a third DLC pack for the first person shooter title.
However, with the impending release of a new Call of Duty game, there is also a possibility that Sony and Activision will talk more about it. This is especially plausible given the recent backlash that the game has accumulated from its first trailer.
Given this, fans of Black Ops III may have to wait in for a little bit more. Nevertheless, it does not diminish the excitement that the new DLC elicits from players. Rumor has it that like its predecessors, the add-on will feature three new locations to explore, while the fourth one will be a familiar stage from Call of Duty: World at War and other Black Ops iteration infused with brand new twists. Another feature that gamers are looking forward to is the Zombie mode which is the most popular part of the DLCs.
One of the maps is Spire, which is designed in the clouds. Players will find themselves on a flying airport where one wrong step would mean their death. The map requires total concentration and awareness on both the terrain and enemy. Platform gamers will have the advantage here.
Rift map is an industrial complex with tight narrow spots and sharp corners. The map is designed for players who use close combat weapons like shotguns. What makes this map unique is even though it's tight, the designer made sure to throw in some secret pathways so that the teams can exploit their way to outmaneuver their opponents in critical junctures.
Knockout is the third one with an oriental theme. It features a Kung Fu arena in the center and practically an open space without enough cover. If an unsuspecting player chooses to pass through here, he'll die instantly.
The final map is a reworked version of Call of Duty: World at War's Banzai.
Black Ops III's next expansion pack will still arrive for PS4 a month earlier than Xbox One and PC as part of Activision's ongoing exclusivity deal with Sony.
Treyarch still runs the double XP weekend for Black Ops III. The event has started Friday morning at 1 p.m. EST and will run until Monday 1 p.m. EST.
