Insomniac's Spider-Man Will Run on the Same Engine as Ratchet & Clank
-----------Insomniac Games has confirmed that the upcoming Spider-Man will run on the same engine as Ratchet & Clank on PlayStation 4.
When the developer Insomniac Games was asked on Twitter about whether the engine used for Spider-Man will be the same as Ratchet & Clank, they responded by saying the company has only one.
This should be taken as good news by anyone who enjoyed the graphical achievement of the recently re-imagined Ratchet & Clank, which has surely been given the positive reviews that often indicate to the game's gorgeous visuals.
Spider-Man was revealed at E3 2016 and the trailer that followed the announcement gave a quick look at the possibilities available to gamers who couldn't wait to put on the red and blue spandex, and there were many possibilities. New York looks realistic and lively, Spider-Man has lots of new moves and abilities not seen in previous games, and the trailer introduced an exciting action.
In essence, Spider-Man makes web-slinging to be appealing again for gamers. The trailer that was shot entirely on a regular PlayStation 4 with no enhancements was the most impressive detail, which makes Insomniac's aforementioned game engine more of a welcomed honesty.
Creative director at Marvel Games, Bill Rosemann, said that he thinks the upcoming game have inspired them by different mediums other than Marvel, no matter if it's comic books, animation, film, t-shirts or live action.
The trailer also speaks a lot about the game's story and pacing. It has been confirmed by Insomniac that gamers will be dealing with a seasoned Spider-Man, so those that worry about another origin story are going to be pleased. In addition, this standalone story is not connected with movies at all, which gives the developer a lot more freedom.
Spider-Man is currently developed at Insomniac Games and will launch exclusively for PS4.
