P.T. Spiritual Successor Allison Road Back in Development

-----------
.....

The former member of Lilith Ltd. Chris Kesler announced that he will continue the development of Allison Road with a new studio, Far From Home.

Over the past few years, fans of horror games have been subject to a rollercoaster of emotions. First they were introduced to Hideo Kojima's exciting new take on the Silent Hill franchise through the terrifying playable teaser P.T., and then the project was cancelled.

After that, an indie developer named Christian Kesler created a studio called Lilith Ltd., with hopes to continue P.T.'s legacy with a spiritual successor called Allison Road. Couple of months ago, that game was cancelled with little to no explanation, but now it's apparently back in development.

Kesler made the announcement earlier today, alongside the news that he started a new studio, called Far From Home. Still, Kesler plans to finish the work on Allison Road alone, as he trusts that all the most difficult parts of development for the game have already been completed. Nonetheless, if new features or gameplay mechanics are required, Kesler will have to find others to help him complete the project.

Sadly, Kesler hasn't clarified why Allision Road was initially cancelled, or why he made the decision to create a brand new studio to finish work on the game. Kesler may have discussed this with Allison Road's publisher Team 17, but that's just speculation at this time, and as a matter of fact, it's unknown if that company is still taking care of publishing duties for the indie game or not.

Even though Kesler hasn't provided specifics as to why Allison Road was dismissed, it seems like the game's development was causing him some stress. After the game was cancelled, he stated that he had to do "soul searching" to find the drive to work on the game again. It was at that time that he decided to make some changes to the game's story, and felt inspired enough to complete Allison Road.

Allison Road is being developed for PC.
