The Division Expansion Packs Delayed In Order To Improve Core Game Experience

-----------
.....

Ubisoft has postponed The Division DLC, as well as the upcoming expansions Survival and Last Stand, in order to fix the "lingering issues" that persist with the base game.

Initially launched in June, The Division's Underground expansion features different enemy factions as they have regrouped underground and have started to pose a threat to the player character (and all of the people of New York) once more.

Although the Underground DLC was having some major post-launch issues, once these were taken care of, the content left lots of players enthused and hungry for even more paid add-ons for the Ubisoft shooter.

The game's upcoming Survival expansion was about to provide that additional content fix, with a teaser hinting at an amazingly harsh and hostile environment that could put players to the ultimate test. Although Survival was originally scheduled to launch on PC and consoles this summer, that is no longer the case, as The Division's DLC has now been delayed because of on-going issues with the game.

A post on the game's official website by the Division's team explains that even though the Underground expansion and the game's free updates gave them the ability to bring more gameplay variety, the overall experience has been affected by lingering issues that have gathered since release. The team added that "it has become clear with your feedback and our own observations that our priority should now be on improving the core gameplay experience."

It appears that many players of The Division are taking the news of the DLC quite well - after all, the reason for this delay is mostly based on their feedback - and have both praised the game's development team for the decision, also for suggesting even more things that Update 1.4 can fix.

The Division is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
